Taking it All In

Well I'm home sick today and said I must blog if it kills me, which for the record, I felt like I was dying from food poisoning last night. So there has been an addition to the odd little "family" that Nbr and I have. She has four legs and I'm pretty sure she is the anti-Christ. She's so cute but bad as all hell dog. She and Baby were the same size, now about six weeks later, she is double her size and will only continue to grow. Nbr doesn't seem to realize what all goes into caring for a puppy. I told him that I feel she needs to go but I guess he is waiting for a breakthrough miracle. She whines all day and all night, pees as soon as you take her out of the crate(which you have to keep her in, she's chewed on four different spots of the walls and the cable and internet cords). Nbr is doing well, we have our moments but what two people don't? He makes me laugh to the point of tears sometimes and that's one of my favorite things about him. Guess what else? His kids and I have been getting along great and I can't tell you how much of a weight that has lifted from my shoulders. To add on to the mix of he and I, we are going "home" to visit my family in a matter of weeks. This will definitely be interesting as he has only met my sister. He kicked up a fuss some weeks back about how he hasn't met my family, my comeback was well they live over a thousand miles a way, and a trip was born. I'm on a small break from school and then I will be embarking on my FINAL semester!! I don't want to say it aloud but I am so happy, it has definitely been a struggle dealing with group mates. I am taking myself on a trip when its all said and done, I'd love to lay on someone's beach, but I owe a certain Mia a visit...... That's it for me now, I hope all is well with each of you. I come back to log in to blogger and everything has changed. I need to get some of your urls so i can type them in at work. I only have two, I refuse to login to blogger there because "The Man" is watching us there. I think I hear Nbr at the door now with my ginger ale. There are definitely perks to this thing! Talk with you soon!

Tidbits

Time has once again managed to fly by without me posting. Quite a bit has happened since my last post.

I received a phone call from my old BFF who I wrote about here. To say that I was surprised to hear from her would be an understatement. We played catch up and she asked if I was still in the same apartment I was two years ago. I informed her that I finally moved to Texas. All she could say was wow, you finally did it. She asked how long and I told her almost eight months now. It seemed to bring her down a bit, knowing that I had been away so long and she had no clue, but then again, I could be reading way more into her reaction.

I met Teddy's mom. She was really sweet; we shook hands after meeting one Sunday at church. Later that afternoon after Teddy and I parted ways and I headed home, I received a phone call from him. He announced that he had news and asked if I wanted to hear it or if I'd rather wait until later. Well of course when someone says they have something to tell you, you want to hear it immediately. He told me his mom said she got a great feeling from me and she can tell that I am the one for him. I sat there silent for a moment, like wow, did she really?

I have seen her several times since then and now we're up to hugging. I made her a cake for Mother's Day that they both loved. Speaking of the cake, I found a store that is a Baker's Dream. I've always enjoyed baking so I am considering taking my past time and potentially turning it into something much more.

Things have been pretty quiet on the drama front for the most part. My little brother's wife, who is in Germany, has found a new boyfriend. She proudly shared her new love interest on FB and even changed her marital status as married to this new guy. My sister decided to check her about claiming a new husband while being married to our brother and informed her that "husband #4 is not a good look". Needless to say, my sister-in-law deleted and blocked my sister and I as well as all of my cousins.

My apartment life sucks at the moment. I have had to call management twice about seeing little bugs. You can call it a fear if you like, or flat out hate, but bugs and I do not get along. I can't wait to move out of this place.

Work is still the same. I was just assigned a new project last week all while still covering for my coworker on FMLA. My Work Mom informed me that another coworker that hangs out with us was talking about me with another colleague of ours. The same coworker had a birthday gathering for her daughter, on the evening that Teddy and I had plans. She actually had the audacity to ask if I was going to pick my man over her daughter's party. YES! Please tell me what I look like, blowing off my man for a woman who talks about me behind my back?

That is really all that is going on for me at the moment. I have been stalking airline websites to see if I can find a ticket home that won't cost me a kidney and a liver, no such luck yet.

I am hopeful that my free internet connection stays up so I can start posting more frequently.

The Visit Plus More

Time has slipped away since I've gotten here. I wake up at 6am and get home around 6pm. Traffic has been the only con to my move, I thought NY traffic was crazy until..

My sister got in yesterday and my ex left Saturday. Our visit had both ups and downs but ended on a very good note. I'm still unsure of what is happening between us but I missed US.

Work has still been going well. Friday I was “reminded” of how great I am at Excel and I had to fish a formula out of the millions of possible options and surprised even myself with the perfect equation. I was sent four emails from a lady who decided that she would like read reciepts, there is something about agreeing to them that irks me.

I got my ex to assemble the tv that my apartment gave me as a part of signing my lease and it was defective. The chick at the leasing office was acting like a real snob about me getting a replacement set, I think she felt somehow it was coming out of her pocket. Nonetheless, they gave me a tv and it works perfect!

Last Sunday I went to church with a new friend that was introduced to me by S23. She was really nice and I got to meet some of her family and enjoyed breakfast together. I have been really blessed to continously meet people who go above and beyond to make my new home more enjoyable.

I will be catching up on blog reading this week, I feel so out of the loop!
